Ferrari Fun Day 2008 Once again a warm vote of thanks “Colin, once again your team were an essential part of our successful Drive event. Without your help we would have been in a serious situation and it is so reassuring to have so many splendid helpers as you all to make the day work. You are now getting quite experienced at this so maybe next time as well—if there is a next time , we are still getting over this one. You will be pleased to know that we provided just 800 rides raising almost £12k as a result. A wonderful contribution to the Charity. In all we expect to make over £30k in total from the day, so well worth all the efforts from everyone, yourselves included of course. Please pass on my thanks to your team. As before if we can come along to a meeting and give some rides on the road let me know.” Michael Adamson

KIDS OUT On 11th June 2008 Rotary Clubs all over the country participated in this annual event. Newbury Rotary took pupils from Castle School to Paultons Park and a good time was had by all. Most of all everyone (Rotarians and all) enjoyed getting wet on the Flume and experiencing the stomach churning Caterpillar.
Sponsored Charities Walk This event was a great success for the various charities and groups who took advantage of this opportunity to raise funds for themselves using the facilites and organisation laid on by Newbury Rotary. “Over 180 walkers raised in excess of £8000 for their own charities & projects on the Rotary Charity Walk” said organiser Rotarian Chris Bartlam.
