NEWBURY ROTARY CLUB RACE NIGHT

The Race Night held at The Portal Hall, Burghclere on 13th February was a very enjoyable well run event and it is anticipated that the funds raised for our charities will be in the region of £1200


On Sunday 4th October Newbury Rotary ran a Charity Metal Detecting Day:-

About 300 detectorists travelled up to 120 miles to explore 350 acres of Hampshire farmland owned by Kingsclere Estates.
Three Finds Liaison Officers identified 72 recordable finds including Saxon coins and Roman artefacts amongst others. There were also several hundred other finds including a large Royal Mail Badge from a Mail Coach.
The Rally raised about £3,900 for Newbury Rotary Club Charitable funds all of which came from the public.
Many thanks to the Rotarians and Sponsors who helped make this day so interesting and rewarding.
